Every year my family does a special Christmas card. Yeah, we'll include the expected and generic Hallmark folded note and the best picture from that year's vacation, but instead of a dry letter, we get creative. Mom rewrote "Up on the Rooftop" one year and included the sheet music. I created a Shoots and Ladders board senior year. Dad traced the Wizard of Oz map with renamed cities. Kristen penned a children's book. It's usually a good time.
At the last minute, on a flight back from Vegas (visiting Grandma), we realized we hadn't sat down to think about this. So by the time we touched down I had a rough draft of our significant, individual accomplishments and a skeletal-accordion on a WordPress homepage. Start-to-finish, about three hours.
