The print rate card for the Kansan, originally designed by Caleb Newberg, was converted to a digital design scheme by Andres Rivás-Cruz. It featured animated elements (pie charts and percentage graphs) and interactive components (rate calculator and video).

The rate card allowed advertisers to get a quick estimate for their ad without calling a rep. Of course, discounts and other offers could be included when directly connected with a rep, but this calculator made the process more efficient and approachable.
